Our House!

Russ and I have a house!!  It is in the perfect location and we just love it.  We will both still live with our parents till the wedding (June 19th) These are a few "before pictures."  Russ and friends/family have painted the inside, so now the house looks different...  but I will wait for "after" pictures till we move everything in!

eNgAgEd!!!!!!!!!!

Russ and I got engaged last Wednesday.  He totally shocked me!!  I was just getting over a nasty stomach virus and crazy busy with school.  I worked that day, and then attended a cooking class with my mom and Julie (Russ' Mom).  I got home and went downstairs to change clothes.  When I opened my door, I was so shocked...  There, sitting on a little white, wicker table, was the most amazing ring I have EVER seen.  There were beautiful pink roses, four tea lights, and a perfect little pink table cloth. ..  And that ring..

I made him come in and kneel...  And I said, "Yes!"  The date is June 19th, 2009.

A tribute to the missionary.  My brother has been a missionary for 5 months now.  WOW.  My sister and I were talking the other day and decided that although we know he's out there doing God's work, we miss him like crazy.  He is still in Virginia Beach, his first area.  Lorne really likes his trainer and it sounds like he is picking up the Spanish well.  My favorite thing about his letters is that he talks so much about the work.  I can tell that he is immersed in the people and the teaching.  His heart is all wrapped up with it already.  This shows me that he is already an amazing missionary.  I have some pics from that sad day in October when we said, "Auf Wiedersehen."

I haven't posted in fOrEvEr!  I have been fairly busy these past few months.  I am in school again.(yay!)  At Weber State.  I freaking love that school.  I get such a giddy feeling as I walk through the Union building.  I have some pretty sweet classes this semester, including a German class with Frau Daines.  And a Children's Literature class.  Way fun!

The only thing I miss about Rexburg is living in the same town as Jessica and Brian and the girls.   :(  I am planning a trip up to see them soon though, so that will help fill the Rowlan void in my heart.

I am still working at Club Heights Elementary School.  I am still loving the kindergarteners.  (Even as we learn how to listen... and sit still, and not swear, and not run away from school...)

Life is great!
